"The Honors & Scholars House puts on events called 'Dinner and Dialogue' for undergraduate students, where a professor is invited to come speak to students about a current topic of interest. Through Honors, I have had the opportunity to arrange some of these dinners and to engage in dialogue with prominent professors on issues such as civil rights, affirmative action, ethics and morality, race relations, etc. To have a program that allots student funds for myself and others to invite professors to talk with us over dinner is an awesome opportunity to get into the personal lives of professors and expand my knowledge of real world issues!"

"I chose Ohio State for the plethora of opportunities. With such a diverse group of students enrolled at Ohio State, I believed that I could find people who enjoyed similar past times as me, even if they had grown up in different communities, or even different states. Along the idea of meeting people with similar interests, I also felt that Ohio State would help me find both work-study and internship opportunities. With such a large number of OSU alumni, and the campus being located in Columbus, the opportunities for job experiences are plentiful."
