"Diversity and academic ambition were the two deciding factors in my choice of OSU and the honors program. In my high school, the lack of ethnic and socio-economic diversity was a real source of frustration and I did not want to attend a university with the same homogenous (almost exclusively white, middle class and Christian) student population. OSU is a huge school that embraces students from all walks of life - I knew that I would frequently be in contact with students from backgrounds different from my own. I also wanted to make sure that I would be competitive for grad school in four years. The OSU honors program provides ambitious students with a stimulating academic environment characterized by small class size, attentive professors and challenging coursework. Choosing OSU was one of the best decisions that I have ever made."
