Who We Are

The Tomorrow’s Teachers Scholars Program is designed to help students explore the field of education and to assist them in either affirming or reaffirming their decision of an education related career. The program has a strong community service component, designed to expose students to a wide variety of educational and children’s issues in diverse settings.

Tomorrow’s Teachers Scholars receive mentoring and support from appropriate faculty and staff and attend discussions with campus and off campus professionals on a wide variety of topics. Scholars are encouraged to explore education and childhood issues through teacher and/or professional shadowing, work in the community or non-profit organizations, and other related volunteer activities.

Prospective Tomorrow's Teachers Scholars should research the requirements of teacher licensure in their area of interest when considering The Ohio State University, as some teachers are trained at the undergraduate level, some at the post-baccalaureate level and a great many trained exclusively through competitive master's degree programs. Admission into the Tomorrow’s Teachers Scholars Program does not guarantee acceptance into any of the university's teacher training programs.
